Mumbai’s suburban train services will face disruptions from September 30 to October 1 due to a four-hour mega block at Goregaon and Malad stations. The Western Railway has announced that the block will be taken to facilitate the construction of the sixth line between Goregaon and Kandivali stations.

Date: September 30 to October 1
Time: 12:15 AM to 4:15 AM (four hours)
Affected Stations: Goregaon and Malad
Affected Lines: Up and Down Fast lines at Goregaon, Up and Down Fast and Slow lines at Malad

Impact on Train Services

The mega block will delay suburban train services by 20-30 minutes, while Mail/Express trains will be delayed by 10-20 minutes. During the block period, trains will operate only between Churchgate to Andheri and Virar to Borivali.

Here are the details of the last suburban trains on Monday and Tuesday:

  • Churchgate to Virar local: Departs Churchgate at 23:27, arrives Virar at 1:15
  • Churchgate to Andheri local: Departs Churchgate at 1:00 AM, arrives Andheri at 1:10 AM
  • Virar to Churchgate local: Departs Virar at 11:30 PM, arrives Churchgate at 1:10 AM
  • Borivali to Churchgate local: Departs Borivali at 12:10 AM, arrives Churchgate at 1:15 AM
  • CSMT to Goregaon local: Departs CSMT at 12:07 AM, arrives Goregaon at 1:02 AM

During the block period, train cancellation and short termination are possible. The Western Railway has shared a list of trains that can be cancelled due to the block.
