Ranveer Allahbadia, the popular YouTuber known as BeerBiceps, has fallen victim to a cyber attack that resulted in hackers gaining control of his two YouTube channels. The incident occurred while Allahbadia was in Singapore.
The hackers renamed the channels “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024” and “@Tesla.event.trump_2024” before deleting Allahbadia’s podcasts and interviews. Old videos of live streams featuring Elon Musk and Donald Trump were then uploaded to the compromised channels.
This incident comes on the heels of a similar hacking of the Supreme Court’s YouTube channel.YouTube has since removed both channels from search results, citing a violation of company policies. A message on the channels’ pages reads, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else.”
Allahbadia acknowledged the hacking almost a day after the attack, responding with humor on Instagram stories. He posted a photo of his meal at a restaurant in Singapore, saying, “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favorite food. Vegan burgers. Death of BeerBiceps met with Death of diet.”
In another story, Allahbadia posted a selfie wearing a cartoon cat eye mask, asking, “Is this the end of my YouTube career? Was nice knowing you all.”
Allahbadia’s followers expressed confidence that YouTube would reinstate his account and retrieve the deleted videos. “Have full faith in YouTube to help us retrieve the hacked channels. Most hands-on team I’ve worked with,” one user said.
