Rajinikanth, the legendary Tamil actor, was discharged from Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on Thursday evening after undergoing treatment for a swollen blood vessel. Shortly after his release, he took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who prayed for his speedy recovery.

In a statement posted in Tamil, Rajinikanth thanked his political friends, film fraternity colleagues, well-wishers, press, and media for their support. He specifically mentioned his fans, saying, “To the fans who have made me, who keep me alive and love me immeasurably, praying for my well-being. I express my sincere gratitude to you all.”

Rajinikanth also shared separate posts, thanking prominent figures such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, and Governor of Tamil Nadu Ravi for inquiring about his health and sending good wishes. He particularly acknowledged Amitabh Bachchan, saying, “Thank you @SrBachchan ji for your love and showing such warm concern towards me… truly touched.”
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwarya, attended a Navratri puja hosted by actor Pritha Vijayakumar, who played Rajinikanth’s daughter in the film Padayappa. Aishwarya shared a happy moment from the event on her Instagram stories.

Rajinikanth’s hospitalization began on September 30, 2024, when he was admitted to Apollo Hospitals with a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart (Aorta). Senior Interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish treated the condition using a non-surgical, transcatheter method.

With his health now stable, Rajinikanth is set to star in TJ Gnanavel’s Vettaiyan, releasing on October 10, alongside Amitabh Bachchan. He will also begin shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie soon.

Rajinikanth’s fans and well-wishers continue to send him love and best wishes for his continued health and success.
