New Delhi – Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s highly anticipated film, Devara: Part 1, has continued its impressive run at the box office, passing the crucial Monday test with flying colors. According to Sacnilk, the film raked in ₹12.5 crore on Monday, bringing its total domestic collection to ₹173.1 crore after four days.

Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara: Part 1 debuted in theaters on September 27, opening to a stellar response from audiences. The film saw a significant drop in numbers on Monday, compared to its weekend collections of ₹38.2 crore and ₹39.9 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. However, the Monday collection is still an impressive feat, demonstrating the film’s staying power.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh praised Devara’s weekend box office performance, stating that the film “lives up to the mighty expectations.” Adarsh highlighted Jr NTR’s star power and the film’s exceptional performance in mass circuits. He also noted that the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Wednesday is expected to give the business a further boost.

Devara: Part 1 marks a significant milestone for Jr NTR, who plays dual roles as Devara and Varadha. Janhvi Kapoor makes her Telugu debut alongside Jr NTR, portraying his love interest, Thangam. Saif Ali Khan plays the antagonist, Bhaira, while the supporting cast includes Shruti Marathe, Zarina Wahab, and Talluri Rameswari.

The film’s storyline revolves around Devara, a post-independence hero committed to keeping his community safe from evil powers. As Devara stands against his old friend Bhaira, who plans to smuggle illegal weapons, he teams up with the Indian Coast Guard. The movie’s themes of loyalty, duty, and redemption have resonated with audiences.

With its impressive box office collection and positive word-of-mouth, Devara: Part 1 is poised for a strong Gandhi Jayanti holiday weekend. Produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, the film is expected to continue its winning streak in the days to come.
