Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer Devara: Part 1 has taken the box office by storm, collecting ₹77 crore across all languages on its opening day. The action drama, directed by Koratala Siva, achieved an impressive 79.56% Telugu occupancy on Day 1.
Devara: Part 1 marks the Telugu debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who plays the villainous Bhairava. During a promotional interaction with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Jr NTR revealed the challenges of filming underwater sequences, which spanned 30-35 days. “We created a massive pool in the studio for these sequences, which are key to the film’s narrative,” he explained.
Devara: Part 1’s performance has garnered mixed reviews, with film critic Saibal Chatterjee awarding 2.5 out of 5 stars in his NDTV review.
